In order to volunteer with LEAPS you first need to attend a LEAPS Volunteer Information and Training Session. This doesn't commit you to volunteering - it's more a case of coming along to see if you think it's the volunteering opportunity you're looking for! (You will find out more about our events, and the key qualities and skills required to become a LEAPS volunteer.)
If after attending a LEAPS Volunteer Information and Training Session you think it’s the right thing for you, we will ask you to complete a volunteer registration form (provided during training) and to provide details of two referees, one of whom must be from your place of study. We may also request that a volunteer completes a PVG (criminal record) check. (Please note that having a criminal record doesn't necessarily exclude you from contributing to LEAPS, however this would be explored with a member of our team.)
Our next LEAPS Volunteer Information and Training Sessions will be taking place in autumn 2017. An online booking form will soon be available, please check back here for this in September.
