Creative Extras Art and Design

For final-year LEAPS-eligible students planning to apply for an art & design related course at any higher education institution.

16-18 October 2018 and 9 November 2018, the programme is based in and around Edinburgh along with a trip to Galashiels.

What is the Creative Extras art & design programme?

An opportunity to develop confidencenew skills and ideas for your portfolio and applications to art & design courses.

The programme includes:

Whatever specialism you are interested in applying to - fine art, photography, graphic design, textiles and everything in between - this programme will give you the chance to enhance your experience, portfolio and, ultimately, your application to higher education.

The programme is based in and around Edinburgh along with a trip to Galashiels. Travel passes will be provided for journeys during the Creative Extras programme (see below for details).

We would like to emphasise that this programme is designed to expose you to new skills, new subjects and new artists, as well as providing the opportunity to work in a range of studios at higher education level, so we'd recommend coming to the programme with an open mind, ready to try something new.

Attendees will be expected to visit a gallery independently after 18 October 2018 and prior to the exhibition on 9 November 2018. More details about this will be provided during the programme.
