More Info:

If you are applying for higher education acting related courses at college or university, you may be asked to audition as part of the application process. Wherever you plan to apply, these workshops will give you the opportunity to develop your skills, gain confidence and enhance your application to higher education.

Led by Katy Hale, a tutor from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, these workshops will focus on practical activities to help you prepare for future course auditions. This will include how to select an audition monologue, rehearsing and developing the piece, taking direction, and advice on how to give your best audition. You will also hear from Industry Professionals in a panel Q&A, and have the chance to ask questions about training and working in the performing arts. This will form part of the session on 15th November.

Katy Hale trained as an actor at what is now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly the RSAMD) and worked professionally on stage and screen for over 30 years. She has been sharing her experience with acting students for the past 6 years, both as a private acting coach and as a tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She believes it to be an honour and a privilege to work with young, aspiring actors on their professional development.
