About the Preparing for your Teaching University Course Interview Workshop

This session is relevant if you are applying via UCAS for a Teaching course at any university.

What: Preparing for your Teaching University Course Interview

Interviews are a crucial part of the selection process for entry to Teaching courses at university. This session will give you the opportunity to prepare for interview and to find out more about Teaching as a career - both the rewards and the challenges!

The session will include a presentation from a member of university admissions who is involved in the selection and interviewing process for Teaching courses, as well as insights from current Teaching students and practicing teachers. 

During the session you will get the opportunity to:

  • work with professionals and students to improve your interview techniques
  • hear about key elements of Teaching programmes, including course content and placements
  • take part in a Q&A session with current Teaching and Admissions staff

Who can attend?

To be eligible for this workshop, you need to be:

  • LEAPS eligible 
    (Please note, the deadline for confirming LEAPS Eligibility was 30 November 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year. Eligibility is usually confirmed by a member of the LEAPS team at your LEAPS pre-UCAS interview, but if you are unsure about this please call the LEAPS Office to check.)
  • Submitting a UCAS application this year

Where a pupil registers for an event more than 5 working days beforehand; if requested, travel passes will be posted to your home address where possible or if we cannot easily send travel passes in advance, reimbursement will be provided at the event on production of a valid travel ticket/receipt.
