About the Preparing for your Nursing or Midwifery University Course Interview Workshop

This session is relevant if you are applying via UCAS for a Nursing or Midwifery course at any university.

Interviews are a crucial part of the selection process for entry to Nursing and Midwifery courses at university. This session will be led by an academic who conducts interviews for Nursing and Midwifery courses and is relevant to anyone who is applying via UCAS for Nursing or Midwifery at any university. In the session, we will look at:

  • what to expect at an interview
  • what universities are looking for at interview
  • how best to prepare for your interview
  • what happens post interview

During the session you will also get the opportunity to;

  • try out interactive exercises to help you prepare for your interview
  • take part in a Q&A session with current Nursing and Midwifery students from local universities
  • hear about key elements of Nursing and Midwifery programmes, including placements and bursary

Who can attend?

To be eligible for this workshop, you need to be:

  • LEAPS eligible
    (Please note, the deadline for confirming LEAPS Eligibility was 30 November 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year. Eligibility is usually confirmed by a member of the LEAPS team at your LEAPS pre-UCAS interview, but if you are unsure about this please call the LEAPS Office to check.)
  • Submitting a UCAS application this year

Where a pupil registers for an event more than 5 working days beforehand; if requested, travel passes will be posted to your home address where possible or if we cannot easily send travel passes in advance, reimbursement will be provided at the event on production of a valid travel ticket/receipt.
