How to Identify Yourself as a LEAPS Transitions Course Student on your UCAS Application

What?

Please make sure you include the fact that you are a LEAPS Transitions Course student on your UCAS application.

(You should be taking the LEAPS Transitions Course and you should have had your LEAPS eligibility confirmed during your LEAPS Pre-UCAS Interview. These interviews usually take place between August and November. If you are unsure if you have been confirmed as LEAPS eligible, please email us at leaps@ed.ac.uk.)

Why?

This is so that the universities you apply to will know that you are a widening participation student actively developing skills for a positive transition to higher education study by taking the LEAPS Transitions Course. They will then be able to take this into consideration when looking at your application and deciding if they will make you an offer. This will vary by university, and you can find more information about this in our LEAPS Transitions Course & University Entry Requirements guide here

  1. Log in to your UCAS HUB and click Go to application.
  2. Scroll down to the Experience section.
  3. Click on the Education box.
