There are so many courses available, so how to choose?
Choosing what to study at college or university can be really exciting, but it can also be a little daunting. We are here to help you with this process!
We encourage you to start considering your options nice and early, giving you plenty of time to research and decide what will most suit you. You don't need to make any final decisions right now, but it will help to have a vague idea of what you might like to do after school when it comes to choosing your subjects for S6.
The best way to work towards deciding what to study, is just to start researching! University and college webpages have loads of information about their courses, from course content and modules offered to method of assessment and what graduates typically go on to do with their degrees. 1. There is still plenty of time to decide on your course choice at university or college but it's never too early to start looking at what is out there.
2. Use all of the resources available to you. Everything will help to inform your decision! Even if you realise something isn't right for you, that is ok...it's all part of the decision making process.
3. Be willing to consider new options, including those you haven't studied at school before. It might just be the perfect option for you!
