LEAPS is a widening participation programme which aims to encourage and advise young people who are underrepresented in higher education. The LEAPS programme of activities and support includes:workshops and presentations about different aspects of higher educationindividualised information, advice, and guidance for students considering higher education studythe LEAPS Transitions Course, an S6 timetable option focusing on developing first-year university-level academics skills which LEAPS-eligible students can choose to apply to (please note places are limited)LEAPS-eligible students will be invited by their school to attend LEAPS activities, or asked to sign-up or apply for opportunities individually where needed. Presentation Confirming LEAPS EligibilityThe formal registration process for LEAPS takes place when students are in S6 (or S5 if a student is leaving school at the end of S5). The deadline for confirming LEAPS eligibility falls around the end of November each year. The date is communicated to schools in advance.
